Individual therapy is meant to be an opportunity to focus on you.  The goal is to look at feelings, believes, behaviors and what is working and what is not working of you.  Sometimes making goals and discussing and planning out how to achieve these goals is part of individual therapy. 

The reason people make the decision to initiate therapy can be for a variety or reasons ranging from long standing depression and anxiety to major life challenges.
